Drawing and Painting

Q: Which Tablet are you using?
A: I am using a Wacom Cintiq 21UX at home and a Wacom Bamboo A5 at school.

Q: What Programm are you using?
A: I am using Photoshop CS4

Q: What Brushes are you using?
A: The most Brush I am using is the standard hard round brush in Photoshop and sometimes some custom and texture brushes.

Q: How many hours you need for a picture?
A: I usually need a week to finish a picture and I am working on it 1 or 2 hours on a evening.

Q: Are you open for some requests?
A: Unfortunately no. I am very busy at the moment. But I am taking commissions. Please have a look at my commission page.

Q: Are you working for a company?
A: No I am studying Game-Design at the moment. But I am working as a Freelance Artist.

Q: Can I have some higher resolution of your picture?
A: Yes feel free to contact me and I can send you an higher resolution. I don't upload them on my homepage because they need to much space.

 

Game - Design

Q: Where do you study Game-Design?
A: I am studying Game-Design at the ZHdK in Zurich

Q: What 3D Software are you using?
A: I am most working with 3D Studio Max by Autodesk for Low-Poly Modeling and ZBrush for High-Poly Modeling

Q: Which Engine are you using?
A: I am using Unity 3D

Q: What can you recommend for a Portfolio when I am going to apply for a Game-Design school?
A: Try to show your best and newest work/pictures you did in the past. Even if they aren't finished. Your Portfolio should show what you are interested in.

Q: Do you know some good Tutorials or Books in Game-Design?
A: I am not a huge fan of Game-Design books, but I think it is always good being informated about the latest techincal improvments in the game world. Also watching a "Making of" a game is always very informative and interesting. There are also a lot of Tutorials in the web if you are interested in 3D Modeling. I highly recommend you this website. It is full of helpful starter and advanced Tutorials.

Q: I dunno if my work is good enough for the companies?
A: You should go on many many events which are some Game Companies and try to talk with them, showing your Portfolio to get a feedback of them. It always helped me a lot and I knew where I had to improve my skills.
